Cairns Dive Centre have an International Advanced open water course onboard their 3 day 2 night liveaboard trip which commences daily. Cairns Dive Centre’s day boat, Sunkist, will transfer you out to their liveaboard vessel, the Kangaroo Explorer, which is permanently moored on the outer reef.
The Advanced course consists of 5 training dives - your first 3 dives are Deep dive, Navigation dive & Night dive. A further 2 dives must be completed from a selection of dives including Search & Recovery, Boat Diver, Underwater Naturalist and Multilevel dive.
You will also have the opportunity to do up to 5 pleasure dives while onboard.

Requirements
- Passport Photo
- PADI Open Water Certification or equivalent
- Minimum age is 15 years, with no maximum age, however any participant that holds a PADI Junior Open Water certification may be eligible.
- An AS4005.1 Dive Medical may be required. Some medical conditions may preclude you from diving. Asthma, diabetes, epilepsy and pregnancy are the most common ones encountered. Children must be accompanied by parent or guardian during the medical assessment.
