Great Adventures to the Outer Great Barrier Reef The Outer Barrier Reef tour with Great Adventures is the ultimate way to spend your day on the outer limits of the magnificent Great Barrier Reef.

Great Adventures will transfer you to the reef onboard their high speed, luxury catamaran, the MV Reef Prince, where you can come face to face with remarkable marine life. Experience the brilliance of this world wonder firsthand as you snorkel straight off Great Adventures special split three level Outer reef pontoon. Watch fascinating reef life from the underwater observatory or semi-submersible craft or just stretch out on the sundeck.

Take your time over a sumptuous buffet lunch and chat about your extraordinary snorkelling and underwater viewing experiences. You may even choose to complete your Outer Reef adventure with an optional scuba dive.

However you choose to spend your time, its made very easy by Great Adventures. With undercover seating and tables, sundeck, full bar and luncheon facilities, a souvenir shop, a safe swimming enclosure for the kids and change rooms with freshwater showers, its bound to be the greatest adventure ever!

Departure And Return

MV Reef Price

  • Departs from Cairns daily
  • Check in is at the Great Adventures check in desk, located in the Reef Fleet Terminal, at 10:00am
  • Returns approx. 5:30pm

An EMC of $5.50 is levied for all adults and children 4 years and over entering the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area. This government charge is payable direct by passengers to Great Adventures on the day of travel.
Fuel Surcharge: With fluctuations in the world oil prices, it may be necessary to apply a fuel surcharge to your ticket price. In such cases, a charge will be collected on departure.
